The Canadian safety standard for Type A chimneys (CAN/ULC S-60) qualifies it for use with gas and liquid fuel-fired appliances where the fuel gas temperatures do not exceed 540 deg. C. Ultra-Temp is a Double Wall Stainless Steel Chimney packed with one inch of premium fibre insulation. The thermal protection provided by the insulation helps maintain low temperatures on outer casing.
Flashings are used to seal the opening when the chimney penetrates the roof and to divert rain and snow down from the roof and away from the chimney system.
